Who we are
Matt Bean grew up in California and attended UCLA, majoring in History. He later studied fine art at the University of Notre Dame, earning a Master’s in Photography. He spent a year at The Frame Factory (now The Frame Shop). Matt then returned to Los Angeles as a custom framer for esteemed clients like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, David Hockney Studios, and the Getty. He also worked at Patrick Painter Gallery and Von Lintel Gallery.
In 2018, he, his wife, and their newborn daughter returned to South Bend. He worked at The Frame Factory again before becoming the Art Handler at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art (formerly the Snite Museum of Art), where he matted and framed their large collection. After five years in that role, he seized the chance to start his own framing business, providing custom work and art services to the Michiana area.
Mary Fashbaugh-Bean grew up in Michigan's upper peninsula. She studied Visual Communications at the University of Michigan and earned her MFA in Photography from Notre Dame in 2014.
As an artist, she exhibits her work in various galleries and museums across the country. She also teaches art courses at IUSB and Bethel University.
